Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri https://josi.ft.unand.ac.id/index.php/josi <p><strong>Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri</strong> translated <strong>Journal on Optimization of System at Industries (JOSI)</strong> is a peer-reviewed and open access scholarly periodical. JOSI publishes research papers, technical papers, conceptual papers, and case study reports. Article manuscripts are published after a thorough <a href="https://josi.ft.unand.ac.id/index.php/josi/review">peer-review process</a>. JOSI’s first edition was published in 2001. The journal publication is maintained by the <a href="http://industri.ft.unand.ac.id">Industrial Engineering Department</a> at <a href="http://www.unand.ac.id">Universitas Andalas</a>, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia as the publisher. It addresses recent trends on optimizations made in soft systems aspects of industrial operations and engineering. Discussions on hard systems are welcome if it optimizes the soft systems aspects as stated in the <a href="https://josi.ft.unand.ac.id/index.php/josi/about">focuses and scopes</a>. Case Study in an Indonesia Muslim Fashion Industry https://josi.ft.unand.ac.id/index.php/josi/article/view/552 <p>A creative and innovative workforce is a key determinant of the sustainability of the fashion industry in a highly competitive market. Such characteristics have been linked to employees’ well-being. This study aimed at examining to what extent the employees’ boredom, stress, and work performance levels in a medium-scale Muslim fashion Industry. We employed a cross-sectional study design by administering a set of questionnaires consisting of the Dutch Boredom Scale; Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale; and Individual Work Performance in a total sampling of 75 female workers. The association between key variables and demographic factors was analyzed using non-parametric tests while the relationship between boredom, stress, and work performance was analyzed using the regression. Less-educated employees reported more stress and lower work performance while their boredom levels were similar, compared to their counterparts. Job boredom and stress were higher among newly hired employees but no significant difference in self-reported productivity between the two job experience groups was observed. There are also no differences in job boredom, stress, and work performance between sales and non-sales groups. Our regression model shows that job boredom and stress were significant predictors to work performance after controlling age, education, job experience, and type of occupations. These findings support the importance of improving employees’ well-being for better individual performance which may, in turn, lead to any tangible organizational outcomes. This article adopts mix-methods. A quantitative method is used to explain technical, marketing, economic, and financial aspects, while the social aspect is explained using a qualitative method. The author collects the Pangasius species sample from nine districts in South Sumatra Province for the technical aspect. This sample transformed into canned smoked fish using several steps: preparation, making and cooking, filling process, exhausting, sealing sterilization, and cooling process. The author also collects secondary data and interviews several key informants to analyze the non-technical aspect of the canned smoked fish industry. A canned smoked fish (Pangasius) has excellent potential to develop as a micro-enterprise in South Sumatra, Indonesia. In the long-term, it could be an instrument for the local government to increase citizens' well-being based on local resources and penetrate the ASEAN free trade area. In a short time, it could be an instrument for the local government to manage the economic effect of COVID-19 in South Sumatera, Indonesia. This study could be a baseline for the government to create a policy for developing the smoked fish industry. This paper presents the implementation methodology of the Fuzzy-MOORA hybrid technique for multi-objective optimization in laser machining of stainless-steel gears. Further, simultaneous optimization of gear quality and process productivity have been reported. Four important laser parameters, i.e., laser power, cutting speed, focal position, and gas pressure, have varied during twenty-nine experiments to machine gears by a laser process. The quality of miniature gear was measured in terms of average surface roughness, mean roughness depth, and dimensional deviation. The productivity of the laser machining process was estimated via material removal rate. An optimum set of laser machining parameters obtained after Fuzzy-MOORA optimization is laser power 2000 W, cutting speed 3 m/min, focal position -2.5 mm, and gas pressure 16 bar. Their warehouses have limited capacity, making it difficult to make decision about optimum inventory. Most of the suppliers will give permissible delay in payment, that can be used to increase income potential through earned by considering the risk of fines imposed if payments are exceeded and help companies raise capital before generating sales. These three factors must be considered when developing the inventory model. The purpose of this study is to develop a multi-item inventory model by considering perishable or damaged products, permissible delay in payment in limited warehouse. Model development is carried out in 2 stages. The first stage was the development of a multi-item EOQ model by considering product defects and permissible delay in payment. The second stage model is by adding a capacity constraint factor to the model. The results obtained are getting the optimal order quantity by considering the number of product types, product damage factors, late payments in limited warehouses, the best ordering policy can be found, and it is known that the total inventory costs to changes in parameters are good and sensitive to changes in percentage, interest percentage, payment allowances, and warehouse capacity through sensitivity tests.</p> Roland Y. It is important for company to manage supply chain properly in order to achieve that. Selecting the best reliable supplier is the key to reduce purchasing cost, increase customer satisfaction and improve the competitive ability. In this study, we develop an order allocation model in multi echelon environment which includes supplier, manufacturer, and retailer. We consider transportation alternatives for the shipment from supplier to manufacturer and also the shipment from manufacturer to retailer. This model allows lateral transshipment between retailers. A Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) is used to model the system. Sensitivity analysis is conducted at the end of the research. The result shows that the retailer demand, lead time, material variable price are sensitive to the objective function while the transportation costs from supplier to manufacturer, from manufacturer to retailers, and between retailers are not sensitive to the objective function. Retailer demand parameter is also sensitive to all decision variables. The transportation cost from supplier to manufacturer, material prices, and lead time are sensitive to the order allocation from manufacturer to supplier, while transportation cost from manufacturer to retailers and transportation cost between retailers are sensitive to the allocation of product sent from the manufacturer to retailers and the allocation of product sent between retailers.</p> Ashylla Maharani Cucuk Nur Rosyidi Pringgo Widyo Laksono Copyright (c) 2022 Ashylla Maharani, Cucuk Nur Rosyidi , Pringgo Widyo Laksono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2022-05-31 2022-05-31 21 1 38 45 10.25077/josi.v21.n1.p38-45.2022 Integration of Analytic Network Process and PROMETHEE in Supplier Performance Evaluation https://josi.ft.unand.ac.id/index.php/josi/article/view/588 <p>Supplier performance evaluation is one of the important factors in the supply chain because it is one of the company's strategies for increasing customer satisfaction and also maintaining the company's services in meeting consumer demand. This study proposes the integration of the Analytic Network Process (ANP) and the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) to evaluate supplier performance. The integration of the two methods is proposed to obtain more complex assessment results because the combination of the two methods considers various criteria derived from ANP and various preferences from PROMETHEE, so both methods are very good to use instead of using just ANP or PROMETHEE or other methods. ANP exhibit more complex relationships between criteria and levels in the decision hierarchy, while PROMETHEE provides decision-makers with flexible and straightforward outranking to analyze multi-criteria problems. In this study, ANP is used to weight the criteria, and PROMETHEE is used to rank suppliers in evaluating supplier performance. Integrating these two methods provides more objective and accurate results in multi-criteria decision-making. The proposed method is validated by solving an industrial case of supplier evaluation problem using the real data from the skewer industry.
