As we near the end of 2023, it's with great pride and excitement that we highlight the exceptional achievements of Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri (JOSI). Our esteemed publication, hosted by the distinguished Industrial Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Andalas in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, has established itself as a beacon of scholarly excellence and innovation. As a Scopus-indexed and grade 2 accredited journal, JOSI has substantially contributed to industrial systems optimization. Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri translated as Journal on Optimization of Systems in Industries (JOSI) is a peer-reviewed and open access scholarly periodical. JOSI publishes research papers, technical papers, conceptual papers, and case study reports. Article manuscripts are published after a thorough peer-review process. JOSI’s first edition was in 2001. The journal publication is maintained by the Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Andalas, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, as the publisher. It addresses recent trends on optimizations made in soft systems aspects of industrial operations and engineering. Discussions on hard systems are welcome if they optimize the soft system aspects as stated in the focuses and scopes. JOSI works closely with The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia) and BKSTI (Badan Kerjasama Penyelenggara Pendidikan Tinggi Teknik Industri), which provide editorial members, peer reviewers, and authors. Both are professional institutions related to JOSI's aims and scope. Accepted papers are in English only. We welcome other language articles, subject to a translation fee before publication acceptance.
