Employing the CC BY-NC-SA license, the journal fosters international collaboration by allowing non-commercial sharing and adaptation of content under the same license terms. The review process, characterized by a double-blind method, maintains academic integrity by promoting unbiased evaluation.
JOSI's collaborations with the Indonesian Engineer Association (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia) and Badan Kerjasama Penyelenggara Pendidikan Tinggi Teknik Industri (BKSTI) reinforce its connection to the professional engineering community. These partnerships not only enhance the journal's standing within Indonesia but also align it with global best practices in industrial engineering education.
The journal's commitment to long-term preservation is evident in its archiving strategy, utilizing Portico's and the PKP Public Knowledge Project's archiving systems under the concept of LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). This approach ensures that JOSI's valuable content remains accessible to future generations worldwide.
JOSI's practices resonate with the broader community of academics and engineering practitioners, reflecting a vision of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in scholarly communication. By bridging the gap between theory and practice in industrial engineering and extending its reach to various regions, JOSI affirms its role as a leader in the field, fostering a diverse and inclusive dialogue that transcends national boundaries. The journal's prestigious accreditation and indexing in Scopus, Sinta (2) and DOAJ further underscore its commitment to quality and accessibility in the dissemination of industrial engineering knowledge.
Focus and Scope
Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri (JOSI) primarily centers on the exploration and enhancement of soft systems within the realm of industrial systems and engineering. Emphasizing the optimization of soft system components, JOSI also encourages contributions that address hard systems only when they influence the optimization of soft systems. This concentration extends to diverse areas such as Production Planning and Inventory Control, Ergonomics, Work-Study, Multicriteria Decision Making, Product Design and Development, and Supply Chain and Logistics. Together, these facets form a coherent focus on the strategies, technologies, and methods aimed at managing and enhancing the various components of industrial systems.
The scope of JOSI further includes insightful inquiries into Optimization and Mathematical modeling, Information Systems, Manufacturing Facility Design, and Financial and Asset Management. The exploration of Industrial Policy Studies, Maintenance Systems, and Human Resource Development strategies rounds off the journal's comprehensive purview, fostering an integrative understanding of the industrial sphere.
JOSI's carefully curated focus and scope serve as a premier platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers interested in the multifaceted field of industrial system optimization. By inviting original research, review articles, and in-depth analyses that align with these domains, the journal reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field.
